The mission of our clustering division is to provide tools, services and training to
empower companies to adopt clustering technologies to create highly available and
scalable mission-critical applications.

Historically, clustering technologies have been used only in specialized applications and on proprietary platforms. However, increasing requirements for availability and scalability are pushing clusters into the mainstream. Most major Unix vendors as well as Windows NT support clustering. Even then, much work needs to be done to make applications cluster-aware as well as to improve cluster manageability.

Insight Solutions has over a hundred person years of experience in clustering and high availablity. We have worked with several leading vendors such as Tandem, Sun and SGI to create cluster infrastructure, manageability tools and highly available applications. We have worked on leading edge technologies and standards such as ServerNet and VIA. We have created high-availability agents and fail-over kits for various applications on Solaris and Windows NT platforms.
